Head of Core Platform (DevOps, SRE) IT & Security

As Head of IT you will lead the team of passionate professionals:

• Orchestrating petabytes of data, managing services handling 35,000 reqs/s in peak moments and scaling up infrastructure for worldwide releases of iconic games.
• Moving infrastructure towards cloud solutions while migrating services to Kubernetes.
• Leveraging modern solutions to drive remote-first company culture.

Responsibilities:

• Build efficient & reliable technical platform.
• Lead teams in building a technical platform (infrastructure & supporting systems) that ensures highly reliable and efficient technical operations of GOG marketplace.
• Drive GOG operational excellence by consulting with leaders across the business to ensure IT services support lean, client-oriented and remote-first processes at GOG.
• Shape a high-performing IT team by managing Infrastructure, SRE & Helpdesk teams of around 13 people, along with all processes, tools and culture.
• Relentlessly engage and communicate with a variety of cross-functional partners to receive input, get feedback, and keep them advised.

Job Requirements:

• You have a proven track record in IT management (5+ years of experience); preferably in a product led tech company.
• You have looked after an infrastructure powering large scale online services; ideally global one.
• You have hired and managed IT specialists & engineers.
• You are comfortable thinking both strategically at the broader company level and tactically at the project level.
• You can clearly define success metrics at the organisational level, and articulate how teams and projects are contributing towards them.
• You have a proven ability to consistently and collaboratively resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and meet all financial and management goals on time.
• You have a high degree of empathy for Product, Engineering, HR, Finance and other functions' goals and challenges.
• You excel in team management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• You are process-oriented and skilled in project management.
• You possess a strong business sense with the ability to understand business priorities, operations, and IT enablement potential.
