Our diverse and inclusive workforce makes Valneva a great place to work.ResponsibilitiesAs our Director International Tax, you are the primary contact for all global tax matters, reporting directly to the Vice President Finance. Your key responsibilities are:Provide strategic tax leadership and expertise in support of M&A activities, ensuring tax efficiency and compliance throughout the transaction processManage tax audits, disputes, and coordinate with external advisorsReview international tax returns and ensure complianceProvide guidance on tax implications of global business operationsMonitor changes in international tax legislation and assess impact on the companyCollaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams on tax-related mattersMaintain tax documentation and mitigate tax risksTrain and support our internal teams on global tax mattersResearch and monitor international tax laws and changesIdentify strategic tax-saving opportunities to enhance overall financial performanceMinimum RequirementsMinimum of 10 years experience in international tax strategyMaster’s degree in Tax Management, Accounting or International Law (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred)Experience with transfer pricing, tax provision calculations as well as with tax complianceKnowledge of M&A tax implications and ability to provide strategic tax advice to senior managementExperience with tax audits and disputes in a multinational environment (Pharma/Life Sciences Sector preferred)Willingness to travel as neededExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailFluency in English is a must, multiple other languages are a plusWorking at Valneva offers the opportunity to be part of a global biotech company with a strong vision for making a positive impact.
