Overview

In this role you will support the Regulatory Policy team in Frankfurt or London, focusing on EU/UK capital resources, RWA and Leverage Ratio policy issues. You will coordinate regulatory change management across Risk, Legal, Finance and Government Affairs, and engage with external policymakers. You will develop technical interpretations of rules and contribute to advocacy strategies to influence regulatory developments. This role offers broad exposure across GS divisions and opportunities to shape regulatory thinking and implementation.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Advocacy: analyze new UK/EU regulatory changes and coordinate input with internal stakeholders; shape local and global advocacy approaches with Government Affairs; meet policymakers and coordinate with industry associations; assess regulatory impact on the firm
  • Interpretation: produce technical written interpretations of UK/EU rules and collaborate with Risk, Controllers and Technology to implement requirements; provide transactions advice on local and US rules
  • Lifecycle of regulatory change: manage from initial ideation through legislation to policy and system updates; liaise with US teams on parallel policy roles
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work with Risk, Legal, Finance, Technology and Government Affairs to develop solutions and ensure alignment with policy changes
