- Bachelor\’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Experience working on product workflows in regulated sectors such as healthcare, finance, or privacy-focused products.
- Include a portfolio, website, or relevant link to your work in your resume (provide a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience defining information architecture by organizing and prioritizing information displayed to users, with an understanding of complex technical domains.
- Experience creating service design artifacts to map user journeys, flows, entry and exit points.
- Ability to analyze data through decision trees, multi-level distributions, topologies, etc.

Design and user experience (UX) are central to our work. The role of an Interaction Designer is to envision how users experience our products and bring that vision to life in an inspired, refined, and engaging manner. You will manage complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for billions worldwide—from first-time users to experts. This requires collaboration with Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers at every stage—from creating user flows and wireframes to building prototypes. You will anticipate user needs, advocate for them, and ensure the final product delights them.
Google\’s UX team comprises multidisciplinary professionals including Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. We gather insights about user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to inspire and inform our design. You will collaborate across teams to create industry-leading products that deliver value to users and Google’s business.
The Core team develops the technical foundation for Google\’s flagship products, managing design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure. We aim to ensure safe, coherent experiences and drive innovation across Google’s ecosystem. Your work here impacts key technical decisions company-wide.
Responsibilities
- Provide observability over Google\’s privacy infrastructure, keeping tools simple and understandable for users.
- Address various use cases arising from Google\’s technical ecosystem, including different policies, systems, and stacks.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.
- Communicate user experience ideas through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high-fidelity prototypes.
- Incorporate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product updates.
