We are looking for a Computer Scientist Apprentice focused on Application Development to support our team in Zurich. The apprenticeship spans four years, beginning with a one‑year foundation course before joining a Google team.
About The Job A professional team of vocational trainers will guide and support you during the apprenticeship. After the foundation course, you will work on existing and new projects, diving into software design and development and collaborating with front‑end and back‑end teams across Google’s product suite. You will be exposed to diverse roles and career paths within this dynamic field.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of the highest level of secondary school.
Academic grades with an average of 4.5 or higher.
Completed Multicheck (ICT).
Fluency in English and German, able to communicate with stakeholders and schools.
Preferred Qualifications
First experience and strong interest in writing code.
Passion for new technologies and a strong motivation to learn.
Genuine enthusiasm for reading technical texts.
Demonstrated logical and abstract thinking.
Authorization to work in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
Proactively analyse a range of problems, identify potential solutions, and implement them effectively.
Foster strong collaboration within your team, clearly communicating ideas and technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical colleagues.
Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code that aligns with project requirements, and conduct solid testing to ensure functionality and reliability.
