Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will help shape the Databases stack (Loki, Mimir, Tempo, Pyroscope) for Grafana Cloud. You’ll design, build, and operate reliable, scalable services running on Kubernetes across major cloud providers, while contributing to open-source projects. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features and improve telemetry data pipelines, prioritizing performance and availability. This role offers remote collaboration, a strong emphasis on pragmatic AI-enabled development, and opportunities to influence the roadmap and your career path.

- Influence roadmap and personal career objectives
- Architect and implement features end-to-end from ideation to production

- Participate in on-call rotations and own running services

- Experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred; Python, C, C++, Rust acceptable)
- Track record delivering end-to-end software projects in a cloud or systems context
- Experience developing software for cloud environments or systems engineering
