Grid Connection Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Lead and manage grid connection engineering for solar projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and developers to design effective grid connection strategies.
• Identify grid connection opportunities within the distribution and transmission network.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate grid connection options, compilying a comprehensive grid study for our renewable energy projects.
• Liaise with utility companies, regulatory bodies, and local authorities to secure permits and approvals.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including connection specifications and project plans.
• Provide technical expertise and mentor junior engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Developing optimal grid connection solutions, completing application forms, associated technical proposals and reviewing grid offers.
• Thoroughly analysing and interrogating grid connection offers to ensure technical and commercial accuracy, challenging network companies on any discrepancies.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technology advancements related to grid connections.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in grid connection engineering, focusing on renewable energy projects in EU.
• Strong knowledge of EU grid regulations (REE, CNMC) and interconnection procedures.
• Proven experience managing grid connection projects, including feasibility studies and technical evaluations.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering tools (AutoCAD, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
