Role: Commissioning Manager

The opportunity
GreenTec Workforce Solutions are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities on major data centre projects in Germany. As part of the client's project team, you will manage the transition from installation through testing and operational readiness, bringing together delivery partners and technical specialists to achieve a successful handover.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and deliver the commissioning plan and programme, ensuring testing activities support construction progress and agreed completion dates.
- Lead commissioning across electrical, mechanical and controls systems, confirming installations meet design requirements and performance expectations.
- Manage interfaces between contractors, commissioning specialists and equipment vendors, resolving coordination issues and maintaining accountability.
- Chair commissioning progress meetings, track outstanding actions and communicate technical risks, programme impacts and mitigation measures.
- Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), functional testing and Integrated Systems Testing (IST), ensuring defects are recorded and resolved.
- Drive system acceptance and phased handover, verifying that commissioning records, operating manuals and operator training are complete.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification with significant commissioning experience.
- Demonstrable experience managing commissioning delivery on data centre or other mission-critical construction projects.
- Sound knowledge of critical power, cooling and controls systems, including commissioning procedures and integrated performance testing.
- Strong organisational, technical reporting and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage programme priorities.
