Principal Engineer Product Definition (f/m/div) In this high‑impact role focused on AI DCDC power modules, you will be at the forefront of powering next-generation AI infrastructure. You will work directly with hyperscalers, system architects, and design teams to define cutting‑edge DCDC solutions that deliver unmatched efficiency, density, and reliability for massive AI compute demands.
Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role:
Define the next generation of DCDC intermediate bus converters (IBC) using market insights and system expertise; collaborate with the system innovation team on schematic, magnetics, and PCB design, simulations, and BOM management, while supporting validation and optimization.
Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking.
Team up with test and quality engineers for test approval and qualification of the DCDC IBC module.
Support the product (G2M) go‑to‑market activities, including application notes, white papers, customer presentations, simulation models, and training materials.
Define the firmware requirements of innovative features using digital controllers and validate the features in system.
Interact with customers to support design‑ins and ensure design‑wins.
Solve technical issues that may arise in the design‑in and/or production, including management of the failure analysis of parts returned by the customer.
Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:
University degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with hands‑on experience in high‑frequency, high‑current, high‑density DC/DC designs, including simulation and lab skills for the design and debug of switch‑mode power supplies.
8+ years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry with exposure to engineering, design, and applications.
Extensive knowledge of high‑power density DCDC magnetics, simulation and power‑loss estimation, including magnetics design and optimization.
Solid background in using digital and analog controllers and drivers for power management.
Familiarity with safety and EMI compliance standards.
Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium or Allegro) as well as simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PLECS or similar).
Excellent English skills.
