Job Description:

In Germany, our company focuses on the production, sales, and reconditioning of steel and plastic packaging systems. At the Mendig site, where around 100 employees work, IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) are manufactured and reconditioned.
As a Reconditioning Production Manager, you will lead a production team performing a range of operational activities such as assembly, material forming, processing, treatment, and packaging. You will also be responsible for supporting the achievement of operational targets, guiding team performance, and making day-to-day staffing decisions while ensuring that company policies, practices, and procedures are clearly communicated, understood, and consistently followed.
Key Responsibilities

Take responsibility for occupational safety, quality, and productivity in the reconditioning area

Plan, manage, monitor, and optimize production and process workflows to improve productivity and quality

Lead and develop employees with both technical and disciplinary responsibility

Analyse and manage key performance indicators in the area of responsibility, including productivity, quality, and OEE
-
Introduce and further develop lean management tools

Work closely with the maintenance, planning, and quality management teams
-
Lead, motivate, and support the ongoing development of the team
Experience and Education
-
Completed qualification as an industrial foreman / industrial technician, or a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field

Experience in a leadership role within production

Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage

Experience in change management
-
Reconditioning and/or plastic industry experience is not an expectation but greatly appreciated
Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of HSQE, KPI management, and lean management

Strong German and English language skills

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is €54,300.00 - €92,300.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between54,300.00 to73,300.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
