Group Controller in Baesweiler

EuroCircuits was founded as a family business and has grown over three decades into a leading European specialist in PCB and PCBA prototyping and low-volume production, serving thousands of active customers ranging from individual engineers to OEMs and EMS providers. The company combines a digital-first platform, from design verification through ordering and tracking, with its own European manufacturing facilities, and has always been strongly operationally and commercially driven.

Since 2026, EuroCircuits has entered a strategic partnership with Avedon Capital Partners, a growth-focused private equity firm active across the Benelux and DACH regions. This partnership is set to accelerate EuroCircuits’ international and technological growth, while preserving the entrepreneurial, engineering-driven culture the company was built on. Corporate headquarters are expected to relocate from Mechelen (Belgium) to Germany, where a new CEO will also be joining.

The organisation comprises 13 entities across Germany, Hungary, the UK, France, Switzerland and India. Around 90% of employees are based in Hungary and India, home to the company’s main manufacturing sites; Germany also hosts two smaller production facilities, while the remaining countries are primarily sales and support offices. The business has grown by roughly 20% per year for many years, largely organically.

Business Model

EuroCircuits focuses on high-mix, low-volume PCB and PCBA production: from fast prototyping to small-batch series. Manufacturing expertise is already well established within the organisation — the next phase is about professionalising finance, consolidation and BI/reporting, including implementing a new consolidation tool and Power BI, to support continued international growth.

The Role

The Group Controller is not simply the person who produces the numbers, this is someone who analyses and interprets them, spots the trends that will shape the business’s future, and helps translate that insight into direction. You define how the group reports to management, the shareholder, the Supervisory Board and other stakeholders, which decisions matter most and how to support them with solid business cases, and which KPIs should guide the organisation going forward. You work closely with the CFO and local finance colleagues across the group, and help build, for the first time, a structured monthly close and group reporting process. There is plenty of room to shape this role, and to build your own team over time.

• Own group control and statutory responsibilities across the 13 entities in Germany, Hungary, the UK, France, Switzerland and India.
• Select and implement a group-wide consolidation tool (LucaNet, Bright and OneStream are among those being considered), and be its conceptual owner.
• Build and professionalise the monthly close, budgeting and forecasting process, a first for the organisation.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identify the trends that matter, and translate them into clear, actionable insight for management, the shareholder, the Supervisory Board and other stakeholders.
• Define and drive the KPIs that steer the business, and support key strategic decisions with well-substantiated business cases.
• Implement Power BI and further automate financial reporting and processes, while ensuring accurate reporting under IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
• Support the planned relocation of the corporate headquarters to Germany, including its financial and tax implications.
• Build and lead your own team over time, starting with an Assistant Controller.

What We're Looking For

A technically strong Group Controller who goes beyond producing the numbers, someone who reads them, challenges them, and uses them to help steer the business. You combine hands-on consolidation and reporting expertise with genuine commercial and strategic curiosity, and feel at home in a family business taking its next step into a more professional, PE-backed structure, comfortable being both empathetic and, where needed, closely involved in the detail.

Background

• Strong track record in group control, consolidation and reporting within an international, multi-entity organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to translate financial and operational data into insight, trends and recommendations that inform business decisions.
• Hands-on technical knowledge of consolidation tools (e.g. LucaNet, Bright, OneStream or similar), with the confidence to take conceptual ownership.
• Experience with BI tools, ideally Power BI, and an affinity for automation and new IT capabilities, including AI.
• Working knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with German GAAP (HGB) is a strong plus.
• Manufacturing experience is not required — that expertise is already well established within the organisation.

The Team You'll Join

EuroCircuits has always been a family business, run by its three founders, with a strong focus on operational and commercial direction; a formal monthly close has never existed until now. You will work closely with the (newly appointed) CFO and local finance colleagues across the group's various countries.
