Robots, AGVs and other (semi) automated manufacturing equipment.Working in a hybrid infrastructure environment (cloud and on-prem), managing complex software deployments at scaleBringing a software operations mindset to monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime including reliable updates, latency, and efficiencyApplying and building upon your experience in PLC or robot programming to help the team move the existing solutions to a full and flexible Software Defined Manufacturing processActing as a bridge between digital product delivery & physical logistics and manufacturing systems, ensuring both are aligned and integratedHelping define, monitor and evolve SLAs/SLOs as well as other important KPIs like e.g. OEE for critical systemsRequirementsYou are an experienced software engineer– preferably with a background in manufacturing or logistics systems, PLC or robot programming or software system operations in a smart factoryYou possess practical experience in some / all key areas of modern software development, including infrastructure, observability, testing, deployment pipelines incl. quality assurance, and scalingYou have operated and supported large-scale software systems in cloud and non-cloud environments (on-premise) or PLC and robot systems in a manufacturing or logistics facilityYou have worked in companies with strong operational cultures, ideally in logistics or manufacturing – understanding the commercial impact of system downtimeYou are proficient with most of the following technologies:Kotlin / SpringBootKubernetesLinuxPostgreSQLPython / Bash is a plusOPC-UA / PLC (e.g. TIA) / robot programming (e.g. KRL)You bring Cloud Operations experienceExperience with Azure is a bonusYou are familiar with monitoring and alerting practices for production systemsYou have experience defining and working with SLAs/SLOsYou are willing to travel to our manufacturing site in Richen whenever needed and within Germany and Austria for in-person team eventsBenefitsAn unlimited contract with 30 vacation days.Flexible, hybrid work: You can work from home or come into the office on the schedule that works best for you.
