HR Recruiting Manager & HR Project Management (m/f/d)Location: Berlin About the Role:As our HR & Recruiting Manager, you will support the growth of our organisation by hiring talented people and making sure our daily HR work runs smoothly.This is a hands-on role that combines recruiting from start to finish with day-to-day HR tasks. You will work closely with hiring managers, support employees throughout their time with the company, and help build clear HR processes that can grow with us.You will report directly to the Director HR, who will guide your work and support your professional development. You will also work with Ground A’s founders, employees, and external partners.This role is ideal for someone with experience in recruiting and HR operations who enjoys taking responsibility for projects, finding practical solutions, and helping a growing defence technology company develop.What You’ll DoManage recruiting processes from start to finish.Write job descriptions and manage the recruiting process.Find and contact suitable candidates through direct outreach, talent platforms, referrals, and other relevant channels.Review applications, conduct initial interviews, coordinate interviews, and support managers in assessing and selecting candidates.Communicate with candidates professionally and promptly throughout the recruiting process.Coordinate job offers and help prepare employment contracts with the Director HR.Support employees throughout their time with the company, including contract preparation, preboarding, onboarding, and employee documentation.Keep employee records accurate and confidential, and keep HR documents and processes up to date.Work with external service providers on payroll, benefits, immigration, and other employment matters.Be a point of contact for employees and managers with day-to-day HR questions, and refer complex or sensitive matters to the Director HR when needed.Help introduce and improve HR processes, tools, templates, and internal policies.Contribute to work on onboarding, employee development, performance processes, engagement, culture, and employer branding.Help make sure HR processes and documents meet applicable requirements and internal standards.What You BringAround one to four years of relevant experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR operations, HR management, or a similar role.Confidence in conducting interviews and communicating with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.Experience in finding and contacting potential candidates directly.Practical experience with HR tasks throughout an employee’s time with a company.A good understanding of German HR administration and employment practices.Experience in a growing technology, deep-tech, industrial, or defence-related company is an advantage but is not required.Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage several recruiting and HR tasks at the same time.A practical, proactive approach and a willingness to take responsibility for tasks and projects.Fluency in English and German.We welcome motivated candidates who are excited about our mission and eager to grow with Ground A.What We OfferJoin Ground A at an important stage of our journey and help build the organisation behind a new generation of European defence technology.A broad HR role combining recruiting, employee support, and day-to-day HR work.A fast-moving environment where decisions are made quickly and individual contributions are visible.The opportunity to improve existing processes and turn ideas into practical solutions.Close collaboration with an international team.Ground A is a German defence technology company developing a new generation of software-defined and laser-based systems for counter-drone and air defence.We are building technology that addresses one of the most urgent security challenges facing Germany, Europe, and allied nations.
