The job
Asan international project engineering manager, you will spearhead Oleon’s ambitiousinnovative corporate engineering projects, guiding our plants in Belgium,Germany, France, UK, US, and Malaysia through the implementation ofhigh-impact technical projects.
Someof your main duties & responsibilities:
- You will lead projects from installing advanced systems to executing greenfield and retrofit projects, overseeing each phase from concept to realization with a keen focus on functionality, timelines, and costs. You leverage existing expertise to maximize the project outcomes.
- You assemble and lead project teams, utilizing both internal and external resources. You provide guidance and support to ensure team success.
- You ensure that all projects meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations. You conduct thorough testing and validation to guarantee project integrity.
- You act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. You manage expectations, facilitate communication, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- You collaborate closely with our mother company, Avril, to implement Groups procedures and best practices. You maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, status updates, and post-project evaluations.
Whom are we looking for?
- You hold a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree and have several years of experience in project engineering management within an international setting, preferably in the chemical industry.
- You possess a comprehensive understanding of project management, including budgeting, scope management, and team leadership.
- Your coaching and leadership skills empower you to guide teams through project journeys.
- Your strong interpersonal skills enable effective collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
- You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch, French or German is an asset.
- You are willing to travel to various Oleon sites (30%-40%).
- You have a strong sense of responsibility and flexible and team-oriented mindset.
