What you will accomplish
- You are responsible for compliance with all legal and internal requirements regarding the environment, chemical safety, and dangerous goods safety - You are the primary contact for internal teams as well as external partners and authorities such as SUVA or environmental services - You develop environmental and chemical management within Migros Industry Segment I and elevate sustainable structures to the next level - You define practical processes, standards, and responsibilities and ensure their daily implementation. - You conduct audits, safety inspections, and risk and hazard assessments, deriving effective measures - You collaborate cross-functionally with specialised departments such as occupational safety, health protection, fire protection, security, purchasing, and maintenance - You design and coordinate training, awareness campaigns, and communication initiatives to make safety an integral part of everyone’s daily routine - You assume technical leadership in your field, provide clear guidance, and actively contribute to a strong safety culture - You take technical responsibility in your area, actively apply your expertise, and make decisions within the scope of competencies and regulations
What you bring
- Education: Completed studies (Uni/VET, UAS, ES) - Specialisation: Solid knowledge of chemistry, acquired through laboratory technician apprenticeship, equivalent training, or university studies, e.g. a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences with a specialisation in chemistry or biology. - Professional experience: 3-5 years of successful experience in a similar role - In-depth knowledge of the legal framework regarding the environment, including environmental protection laws, water protection, air protection regulations, and chemical regulations - Knowledge of environmental management according to ISO 14001, as well as experience in conducting and monitoring audits - Experience collaborating with various target groups - An independent, structured, and solution-oriented working method - Knowledge of fire safety is an advantage - Possible workplaces: Courtepin or Bazenheid - French (B2) - German (B2)
