Overview

In this role, you cover a portfolio of financial institutions from Frankfurt, leading day-to-day client engagement and coordinating cross-product transactions. You will prepare client materials, support senior interactions, and drive execution with multiple stakeholders across jurisdictions. You act as a trusted partner to product teams, owning processes like KYC and onboarding while contributing to revenue development. This position sits at the heart of Santander CIB’s FIG coverage, enabling growth through independent, high-impact client work and risk-aware decision making. You will join a collaborative, ambitious team shaping financial services across the DACH & Nordics region.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Manage day-to-day client coverage for a portfolio of financial institutions
  • Coordinate complex cross-product transactions and internal workstreams
  • Prepare client presentations, credit papers, financial analyses and strategic reviews
  • Support senior client interactions, including meetings with C-suite executives
  • Act as trusted partner to product teams and drive execution across stakeholders and jurisdictions
  • Own internal processes including credit, profitability, risk management, KYC and onboarding
  • Contribute to business development, client planning and revenue generation initiatives

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in FIG Coverage or related banking disciplines
  • Experience covering financial institutions and supporting client relationships and transactions
  • Ability to independently manage workstreams and coordinate internal stakeholders
  • Experience interacting with senior client representatives and navigating internal approvals
  • German and English fluency; Spanish optional
  • Strong understanding of debt financing, capital markets, and IB products
  • Strong financial analysis, accounting, valuation, and credit assessment skills
  • Knowledge of compliance, regulatory and KYC requirements for institutional banking
