Site Manager

The Role
We are looking for a Site Manager to supervise the modification of an existing substation. This role requires a deep understanding of civil and electrical engineering principles, as well as proven experience in managing similar projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- SUPERVISIÓN of all site activities related to the substation modification, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Oversee and coordinate civil works, including site preparation, foundation construction, and structural installations.
- Manage and direct electrical installation and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
- Develop and manage the project schedule, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators, and address any deviations from the plan.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage site resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
- Facilitate effective communication among all project team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure all necessary permits and documentation are in place and up-to-date.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Manager or in a similar project management role within the substation sector.
- Proven experience in managing civil and electrical aspects of substation projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of substation design, construction, and commissioning processes.
- Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced/Native level of German is essential for this role.
- Experience working on modification projects is highly desirable.
