Overview
In this role, you will own data governance for trading data assets, aligning with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements. You will work with data product teams, IT, and business experts to define data products, contracts, and domain semantics while developing self-service data quality reporting. You will evaluate market data and its impact on trading and market microstructure, supporting governance forums and reporting progress to senior management. The position sits at the intersection of governance, data architecture, and quantitative research, offering visibility into cross-functional initiatives and strategic data initiatives across the trading organization.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design and improve data governance policies, aligning with regulations and objectives
- Coordinate with business lines, data product teams and IT to implement governance policies
- Collaborate with traders and IT to define data products, contracts, and domain semantics with data quality reporting
- Review and refine governance roles and RACI matrices for operational effectiveness
- Analyze market data and assess changes on trading market microstructure
- Support Data Governance Council setup, preparation, and progress reporting to senior management
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Quantitative degree or relevant work experience in data governance or quantitative analysis
- Experience in policy/standards definition within data governance or related fields
- Understanding of trading lifecycle, market microstructure, and enterprise data management concepts
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to explain complex topics
- Coding skills in Python and SQL; knowledge of exchange-traded derivatives is advantageous
- Experience with data management in big data/data lake environments is a plus
- Proficiency in English; German is a plus
