Overview
In this role you support the Tax Technology team to shape tax-related processes within the SAP S/4HANA environment and tax solutions. You act as a bridge between Tax, Finance, Business, and IT to ensure compliant, efficient processes and to drive digitalization. You’ll contribute to requirement definition, process design, testing, and validation from a tax perspective, while leveraging SAP technology to improve indirect tax handling and real-time reporting. You will work across an international setting, combining tax expertise with process and technology know-how to enable scalable tax processes.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Represent tax interests for SAP and tax-technology initiatives
- Define and document business requirements for tax-relevant SAP processes
- Design tax process requirements and coordinate implementation with Tax, IT, and external providers
- Review and validate technical designs from tax/business perspective
- Plan and execute UAT, integration testing, and validation of tax-related changes
- Ensure SAP processes support indirect tax compliance and internal controls
- Provide functional support and issue analysis for tax SAP processes, coordinating with IT
- Support automation and digitalization of tax processes (S/4HANA, tax engines, reporting)
- Analyze and optimize tax data flows between SAP and connected systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement of indirect tax control framework and processes
- Support readiness and implementation of global e-invoicing and real-time reporting
Zentrale Anforderungen
- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Law, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Tax Technology, SAP process support, or related area
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC
- Good understanding of SAP-supported business processes (FI, CO, SD, MM)
- Affinity for technology and digitalization, with ability to translate requirements into practical solutions
- Experience in requirements management, process improvement, testing, and stakeholder collaboration
- Knowledge of indirect taxes (VAT) and tax-related SAP processes is an advantage
- Experience with SAP tax/compliance solutions (e.g., SAP DRC) is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business-oriented mindset, and excellent communication
- Highly motivated team player with collaboration across Tax, Finance, Business, and IT
- Very good proficiency in English and German
