Overview
In this role you will drive VAT compliance across Deutsche Börse Group entities in Europe and APAC, acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders. You will lead process improvements, support strategic tax initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable growth while staying ahead of regulatory changes. You’ll work within Group Tax to ensure accurate filings, coordinate audits, and enhance VAT-related processes and tools. This position offers international exposure and a chance to shape tax processes in a dynamic environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Prepare and review VAT filings in line with national legislation for entities in Europe and APAC
- Work with SAP landscape on VAT matters
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Coordinate tax audits and inquiries
- Handle complex VAT-related issues across the organization
- Enhance VAT-related processes and compliance tools
- Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, IT and external advisors
- Stay updated on tax law changes and advise on impact
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the tax function and with stakeholders
Zentrale Anforderungen
- More than 5 years of professional experience in VAT compliance within the financial services industry
- University degree in business administration with focus on taxation or finance; certified tax advisor (qualification)
- Expertise in ERP systems, especially SAP S/4HANA and SAP SD
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and proactive problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
