Join us in making a difference

trivago's Investor Relations team is the bridge between our business and the capital markets, translating our strategy, performance, and growth story into the confidence that public and prospective investors place in us. As we scale our shareholder base and sharpen how the market understands and values our story, we're looking for a Senior Investor Relations Manager to build and run our end-to-end investor engagement system and to act as a corporate finance sparring partner for senior management. You'll own the full investor journey: building awareness with new institutional and retail audiences, generating and qualifying a pipeline of prospective investors, engaging them directly through outreach and meetings, and nurturing our existing shareholder base over time. You’ll also bring the analytical depth behind the story, understanding how the market values trivago against its peers and supporting the CFO on valuation and strategic finance analyses. Success looks like a sharper narrative, a broader, more engaged investor base, and a valuation that reflects trivago's growth story. You'll work closely with our CEO and CFO, deepen your public markets expertise, and grow in a team that pairs high standards with genuine support. Ready to shape how the market sees trivago?

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Build awareness of trivago's equity story among institutional and retail investors through targeted outreach, content, and market visibility initiatives.
  • Generate and qualify a pipeline of prospective investors, researching funds and portfolios whose profile and strategy align with trivago's growth stage.
  • Proactively engage prospects through direct outreach, calls, and meetings, positioning trivago's narrative and key messaging with confidence and precision.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with our existing investor base, including regular updates, non-deal roadshows, and investor conferences.
  • Own end-to-end management of trivago's investor pipeline, tracking prospects and engagement across every stage from first awareness to long-term advocacy.
  • Own trivago's valuation and peer benchmarking framework: monitor how the market prices trivago against peers, maintain intrinsic and relative valuation views, and turn them into insights for management.
  • Support the CFO on strategic finance projects and ad-hoc analyses, including valuation work, business cases, and capital allocation.
  • Lead quarterly earnings call preparation, investor and sell-side analyst requests, and the briefing of our CEO/CFO on market sentiment, consensus, and investor feedback.

What you'll need to thrive:

  • 7+ years of experience in investor relations, equity research, sell-side or buy-side coverage, investment banking, corporate finance, or another public markets role, ideally with direct exposure to a listed company's shareholder base.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills: you're fluent in three-statement models, DCF, and trading and transaction multiples, and you can judge what drives a company's valuation.
  • A naturally outgoing, proactive style: you pick up the phone, initiate conversations, and build relationships rather than waiting for investors to come to you.
  • Strong command of financial storytelling: you can translate business performance and strategy into a clear, compelling narrative that resonates with new and existing investors alike, and back it with sound analysis.
  • A genuine learning mindset: you approach challenges with curiosity, seek out feedback, and continuously look for ways to develop and grow.
  • A performance mindset: you set ambitious goals for building and growing trivago's investor base and have the determination to follow through on them.
  • An open and curious mindset toward AI tools and automation: you actively explore how AI can strengthen investor targeting, research, analysis, and outreach, and are excited to grow alongside evolving technologies.

What you can look forward to:
