Visual Merchandising Director

ppResponsible for creating developing and executing the true to life, in store visual representation of our brand. This position will coordinate with the merchant, creative services, planning, operations and retail development to conceptualize, establish and deliver visual merchandising guidelines for both retail stores and wholesale accounts, designed to meet the sales and profitability goals /p pThe Visual MerchandisingDirector is responsible for articulating and executing creative vision,visualwindow concepts and installations for boutiques and showrooms ensuring a stimulating environment that enhances the customer store experience and promotes brand consistency. /p pCreates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. /p pThe role is in charge of supervising the team in upholding VM standards, guidelines as well as developing local relevant strategies in all locations (retail, partner stores and wholesale partners) across the global market through overseeing all VM initiatives related to existing store needs, campaign launches, special events and new store openings. /p h3CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ul liDesign and implement visual strategy for the European market /li liPlan all visual merchandising projects in the market /li liTrain and coach visual team /li liManage department budget /li liSupervise and support retail events /li liMeet with operational team to implement sales strategies /li liConduct research on current and future trends in design and lifestyle, and associated target market features /li liForthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing /li /ul ul liAt least 10+ years of experience in the VM field for a fashion brand /li /ul ul liAt least 5-6 years of experience in leading a team /li /ul ul liExcellent knowledge of visual merchandising strategies and processes /li liExcellent knowledge of Guess products and DNA /li /ul ul liMust possess strong leadership skills and be well organized, self-motivated, focused on meeting deadlines and able to multitask within a fast-paced environment /li liMust have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up /li liExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group at all level /li liAbility to work in an international environment and to network with worldwide business units /li liDemonstrated ability to support and interact effectively with other core business functions /li liAvailability to travel /li liExcellent knowledge of Office package, especially Excel /li liProficiency knowledge of English language – both written and spoken.
