Head of Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d)
For our client, a highly successful and long-established food production company, we are seeking a Head of Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d) for the greater Bremen area, responsible for the Technology and Plant Projects division. In this key position, you will report directly to the management and be responsible for the future-proof technological development of the entire machinery and production facilities.
Overall Engineering Responsibility: You will lead the technical department with a clear focus on mechanical and plant engineering, process engineering, and large-scale process engineering projects (including the necessary infrastructure).
Investment Projects (CAPEX): You will plan and manage the integration of new production lines, plant expansions, and the modernization of the existing, technologically diverse machinery.
Process Optimization: You will continuously drive the further development of manufacturing processes through the targeted use of new technologies and automation solutions.
Team Leadership: You will lead and develop a department of approximately 25 to 30 employees.
Interface & Supplier Management: You will coordinate external plant manufacturers and engineering firms, support regulatory approval processes for new facilities, and work collaboratively with production and maintenance.
- Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium oder eine technische Ausbildung mit Weiterbildung zum Meister/Techniker (m/w/d) mit Schwerpunkt Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, Verfahrenstechnik, Lebensmitteltechnik oder Elektrotechnik.
- Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in einer verantwortungsvollen technischen Position innerhalb der produzierenden Industrie (idealerweise, aber nicht zwingend, im Lebensmittelumfeld).
- Fundierte Praxis im Projektmanagement und der erfolgreichen Umsetzung von technischen Investitionsprojekten rund um komplexe Produktionsanlagen und Maschinen.
- Nachweisbare Führungserfahrung (mindestens auf Teamleiter-Ebene) mit der Fähigkeit, technisches Personal zu motivieren und zielgerichtet weiterzuentwickeln.
- Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsstärke, Durchsetzungsvermögen und eine lösungsorientierte Hands-on-Mentalität direkt am Shopfloor.
