Your responsibilities will include: planning, controlling, and monitoring stamping and forming tool design projects; ensuring compliance with quality requirements (including specifications); developing process plans; further developing and optimizing existing tools with regard to quality, cost-effectiveness, and service life; contributing to the development of new manufacturing and tooling concepts; assisting with the support of new tool launches up to series production readiness; close collaboration with the toolmaking, project management, and production departments; and documenting design changes and maintaining technical documentation.
- Completed technical studies, e.g. in mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in design within the automotive sector
- Extensive knowledge in the field of stamping and forming tools and materials
- Proficient use of CAD systems, preferably SIEMENS NX, Catia V5 and Visi
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented work style
- Fluent German and good English skills
- Teamwork skills, strong communication skills and a high level of quality awareness
