Physicist (m/f/d) in Berlin

For a renowned company in the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries, we are seeking a highly skilled Head of Licensing for Radiation Protection (m/f/d) to join their team in Berlin as soon as possible. In this responsible position, you will manage the nuclear regulatory processes for the Berlin, Braunschweig, and Dresden sites and actively shape the organization's safety standards. Your responsibilities will include: assuming the role of Radiation Protection Officer and independently handling all nuclear regulatory licensing procedures at the Berlin, Braunschweig, and Dresden sites; ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting reporting procedures, and developing contingency plans for operational disruptions; defining quality standards for handling radioactive materials based on the German Radiation Protection Act (StrlSchG), DIN standards, and internal quality management documentation; assessing safety-relevant incidents, monitoring activity levels, and releasing work areas; and the disciplinary organization, management, and development of local radiation protection units to ensure standardized procedures.

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes naturwissenschaftliches Studium (z. B. Physik oder Chemie) inklusive Fachkundenachweis im Strahlenschutz (S4.2)
• Mindestens 5 Jahre einschlägige Berufserfahrung im Strahlenschutz sowie fundierte Praxis in der Durchführung atomrechtlicher Genehmigungsprozesse
• Nachgewiesene Führungserfahrung zur zielgerichteten Steuerung mehrköpfiger Teams
• Verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse (mindestens C1-Niveau) sowie sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Hohes Verantwortungsbewusstsein, Durchsetzungsstärke und ausgeprägte Zuverlässigkeit
