We are currently seeking Mechanical Engineers / Test Engineers (m/f/d) for a central public sector research funding institution in Bonn. In this expert role, you will evaluate current R&D projects of medium-sized companies and play a key role in determining their tax incentives. Your responsibilities will include the scientific analysis and technical review of grant applications (initial and second reviews) for the issuance of a certificate under the Research Allowance Act. You will assess submitted R&D projects based on relevant review criteria, formulate review decisions in review reports, prepare official notices, and manage subsequent claims. You will also be responsible for the technical processing and review of incoming appeals and continuously update your knowledge of the current state of science and technology regarding new, audit-relevant issues for practical application. Active contribution to strengthening Germany as a location for innovation by stimulating research activities in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium (Diplom/Master) im Maschinenbau. Eine Promotion in einer ingenieurswissenschaftlichen Disziplin ist ein starkes Plus.

Ausgeprägte Fachkompetenz zur strukturierten, ganzheitlichen Beurteilung von anwendungsbezogenen Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekten, idealerweise mit praktischer Expertise in mittelständischen Unternehmen.
