Calculation Engineer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities will include: conducting development-related calculations and numerical simulations, e.g., structural mechanics, structural dynamics, etc.; working in interdisciplinary development teams; supporting the preparation of shock resistance analyses; ensuring the quality of results, including proactively clarifying boundary conditions, e.g., through material measurements; and serving as a contact person for internal and external clients.

Requirements

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering, naval architecture, physics or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience as a calculation engineer or simulation engineer, ideally in the maritime sector
• Extensive knowledge in the field of structural mechanics and structural dynamics, in particular numerical crash or shock simulations.
• Good knowledge of materials and production engineering as well as knowledge of rigid body simulation are desirable.
• Proficient use of MS Office, advanced user knowledge of Linux, LS-DYNA, ANSA/META and possibly MATLAB, COMSOL, STAR-CCM+ or Siemens NX
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Analytical, proactive and independent work style
• Confident, professional demeanor as well as excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to undergo a security check
