For our client, a highly specialized technology company in the field of mission-critical communications and defense IT, we are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer (m/f/d) on a temporary basis. Start date: as soon as possible. Duration: 12 months + option for permanent employment. Workload: 40 hours/week. Location: Gilching or Heimertingen. Remote work up to 40% is possible. There is an option for permanent employment. Responsibilities include: developing and implementing test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing software products in a military context; conducting manual and automated tests to ensure software quality; analyzing and documenting test results and creating detailed bug reports; collaborating with software developers and product managers to clarify requirements and optimize processes; setting up and maintaining test automation frameworks; ensuring that the software complies with applicable standards (e.g., functionality, security, performance, and usability); and participating in code reviews and continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik, Mathematik, einem vergleichbaren MINT-Fach oder eine vergleichbare technische Berufsausbildung (z. B. Fachinformatiker)
- Einschlägige bzw. mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Software Testing
- Fundierte Kenntnisse von Testautomatisierungstools wie Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Ranorex, Jenkins oder ähnlichen
- Verständnis von Softwareentwicklungsprozessen und -methodologien (z. B. V-Modell, Agile)
- Erfahrung mit Bug-Tracking- und Versionskontrollsystemen (z. B. Jira, XRay, Git)
- Analytisches Denkvermögen, Liebe zum Detail und eine strukturierte Arbeitsweise
- Ausgeprägtes Qualitätsbewusstsein
- Lösungsorientiertes Denken sowie die Bereitschaft zur fachlichen Weiterentwicklung
- Teamfähigkeit
- Sehr gute Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
