Head of Technical Documentation (m/f/d) in Kassel

As a key player in the defense sector, you will assume strategic and operational responsibility for complex technical documentation projects, thereby ensuring the operational readiness of state‑of‑the‑art systems. Your responsibilities will include: independent conception, planning, management, and tracking of all project phases in the area of technical documentation; project management using key performance indicators (KPIs), including initiating corrective actions in case of deviations; professional leadership, motivation, and development of project teams with the option of a team leader position; strategic client management, leading internal and external project meetings, and conducting contract negotiations; resource planning, creation and monitoring of work packages, and compilation of deliverables for the client; budget monitoring, cost‑to‑complete calculations, and high‑frequency project reporting; ensuring quality standards, deadlines, and workflows, as well as close collaboration with the Project Management Office for process optimization; and the preparation and creation of technical and commercial proposal documents.

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium des Ingenieurwesens, der Elektrotechnik, Informationstechnik oder des Wirtschaftsingenieurwesens
• Nachweisbare Berufserfahrung im Projektmanagement sowie idealerweise im Umfeld der Technischen Dokumentation
• Verwendungsbereitschaft für branchenspezifische Standards wie ASD-Spezifikationen (S1000D, S2000M) oder militärische Regelwerke (H011, B007)
• Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse sowie ein sicherer Umgang mit gängigen Projektmanagement-Tools und MS Office
• Ausgeprägte Führungskompetenz, lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise und starke Kommunikationsfähigkeiten
• Begeisterung für komplexe Verteidigungssysteme und militärische Fahrzeuge sowie eine moderate Reisebereitschaft
