Technical Director of Calibration Laboratories / Deputy MD (Domains: Electrical, Dimensional, Pressure, Torque, and Force) Our client is METRON Measurement SA, a federally accredited calibration laboratory that has been operating in the Lengths, Electrical, Torque, Force, Temperature and Humidity industries for over 20 years.
It is part of TIC Holding Schweiz AG.
To strengthen the team in Quartino (TI), the following position is sought immediately, or on a date to be agreed: Required tasks: Direction, supervision and technical responsibility of the calibration laboratories in the Dimensional, Pressure, Torque and Force sectors.
Direction and supervision of the Electrical laboratory together with the Laboratory Manager.
General supervision of incoming/outgoing orders.
Laboratory technician team management and development.
Ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and maintaining SAS accreditation, in a team with the Quality Manager.
Planning and management of internal and external audits.
Validation of measurement methods and calculation of measurement uncertainties.
Review and approval of calibration certificates.
Relationship management with the accreditation entities (SAS/METAS).
Development and implementation of new calibration procedures.
Management of the equipment and planning the calibration of our references.
Technical customer support for complex metrology issues, in a team with the commercial department.
Training with the CEO for strategic laboratory development and the MD role.
Training as a Technical Engineer / Physicist or equivalent experience.
In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and accreditation requirements.
Experience in managing technical teams.
Full business fluency in Italian, German and English.
Statistical/mathematical skills to be able to build an Uncertainty Budget (GUM).
Leadership and human resource management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of the Office package, especially Excel (advanced formulas, automations, macros).
Optional requirements (considered preferential for hiring): Experience in a similar function.
Knowledge of French.
Experience as a Technical Manager in accredited laboratories.
Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM-3D).
Knowledge of laboratory management software (LIMS).
Specific training in metrology (SAS, PTB, METAS courses).
Experience in managing accreditation audits.
Automation or programming skills.
