To strengthen our team at our site in Markersdorf near Görlitz, Gunnebo Markersdorf GmbH, within the Safe Storage Business Unit, is looking for a Team Leader Concrete / Mixing Plant / Production Facilities (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.

Position Summary

The Team Leader of the Concrete Mixing Plant is responsible for the safe, timely, and quality-compliant production of concrete mixtures used in security products (e.g., safe bodies, doors, and fillings), while meeting the specific requirements of the safe manufacturing industry.

The role ensures compliance with all technical, legal, safety-related, and certification requirements and contributes to the continuous optimization of processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

  • Plan, control, and monitor concrete production according to the production schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with recipes, mixing ratios, and quality specifications.
  • Optimize material usage with regard to cost efficiency and availability.
  • Take responsibility for meeting production timelines and delivery deadlines.

2. Quality Assurance

  • Monitor concrete quality parameters (e.g., density, strength, temperature) in accordance with plant standards.
  • Document all relevant production and quality data.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and the laboratory to identify root causes of deviations.
  • Implement measures for continuous quality improvement.

3. Plant and Equipment Responsibility

  • Monitor, maintain, and service the concrete mixing plant and related equipment.
  • Ensure plant availability and technical operational readiness.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all plant equipment.

4. Team Leadership

  • Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to the mixing plant team.
  • Plan workforce deployment and support employee training and development.
  • Promote a safe, quality-focused, and collaborative working environment.

5. Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Protection

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Train employees in the safe operation of machinery and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Implement measures to reduce noise, dust, and waste.
  • Support internal audits and safety inspections.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, Logistics, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with the Design and Engineering departments on new projects and special concrete formulations.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding material quality and availability.

Requirements

Professional Qualifications

  • Technical vocational training in concrete technology, construction materials testing, or a related field, ideally supplemented by a Master Craftsman (Meister) or State-Certified Technician qualification.
  • Alternatively, a degree in Construction Materials Engineering, Concrete Technology, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience in concrete production, preferably within the security products industry or the manufacturing of specialized construction components.
  • Sound knowledge of concrete technology, mixing processes, and quality assurance methods.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

IT and Language Skills

  • Experience with production planning systems (e.g., SAP, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), or production data collection systems) is an advantage.
  • Experience with the Bikotronic plant control system.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Fluent German, both written and spoken; English and Polish language skills are considered an advantage.
