h3Job Title /h3 pSenior Risk Officer - Natgas /p h3Contract Type /h3 pFull time /p h3Job Description /h3 pThe Natgas Senior Risk Officer is a member of the Risk team, reporting to the Head of Risk Officers Power Gas. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 ul liAnalyze, model, and report market risk for all trading activities. Assess and monitor physical and financial trades. /li liAnalyze mark-to-market valuations, risk positions, basis changes, curves and volatilities and P/L results daily. /li liChallenge assumptions taken by traders /li liDevelop and maintain risk reporting/analytics to communicate position, P/L and market risk to traders and management. /li liCoordinate and review deal and price in trading system by performing deal check, price validation, curve update, and data reconciliation. Monitor timely deal capture, internal trading limits, and risk policy requirements to ensure the representativeness and integrity of transactions in the trading system. /li liProvide critical thinking around risk reporting processes, quantification, and analysis of commodity exposure and forward price movements for trading activities. /li liMaintain, enhance, and review risk models. Test new risk calculations, evaluate model assumptions against fundamentals, and communicate suggested modeling/valuation enhancements to achieve better valuation and risk quantification. /li liCommunicate effectively with Front Office, Operation, Trade Support, Finance and IT team on inputs and assumptions. /li liWork closely with Traders to quantify and explain the sources of risk in their portfolios. /li liContribute to the reporting of Trading Result/ Position to Senior management. Responsible for monthly translation into accounting of trading results. /li liPrepare various reports and analysis for publishing internally and to the Management Board as the case may be. /li liWork closely with Back Office, Finance, Credit, Legal Compliance, Business Unit Control to ensure best control practices, operational efficiency, and policy/limit compliance. /li liCoordinate with Compliance to ensure compliance requirements are met. /li liSupport, identify, and assist in implement of process improvement, from system testing and implementations to desk level process. /li liIdentify and communicate operational risk, define risk mitigating measures and priorities. /li liMonth end and year end reconciliations with finance and external auditors as required. /li liBack up / support for other desk's Risk officers as the case may be. /li /ul h3Profile/Key Skills /h3 ul liUniversity degree, preferably in Computing, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or Finance in a top ranked University /li liMastery of analytics tools and technologies. /li liMinimum 5 years in the commodity trading business, preferably within a major trading house or utility company. /li liExperience in valuation of European Natgas positions and assets (storages, pipelines, cables, flexible products, power plant), experience in booking and operating assets is a plus. /li liWeather products and bio-methane experience is a plus /li liFX positions understanding is a must /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills /li liEntrepreneurial spirit, naturally curious and proactive, /li liEager to learn and ability to work with limited supervision. /li liExcellent attention to detail; rigorous and meticulous, /li liHigh degree of accuracy and efficiency under set deadlines /li liAbility to work independently and as part of a team. /li liStrong communication and interpersonal skills /li liComprehensive understanding of risk management methodologies and valuation models /li liProficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, and other data analysis tools (Python and SQL is a plus) /li liGood knowledge of Access and SQL Server /li liFluent in English, both written and spoken, French and/or any other European language is a plus. /li liPosition based in London or Geneva /li /ul pOur people make all the difference in our success. /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
