Wave Planner (m/f/d) – Dorsten, Germany – Fulltime
Join GXO as a Wave Planner, responsible for optimizing the flow of goods within the warehouse.
You will create and coordinate wave plans that determine the order and timing of picking, packing, and shipping.
Your role supports smooth warehouse operations and enhances customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Optimize the flow of goods and coordinate wave plans that determine the order and timing of picking, packing, and shipping.
- Present complex data in an understandable way and interact with various stakeholders.
- Ensure warehouse operations run smoothly as a competent coordinator.
- Collaborate with customers, operational teams, and MHE providers.
- Prioritize orders and plan truck loading.
- Control and maintain high warehouse utilization.
- Provide 1st‑level support for the shop floor.
- Optimize and develop processes throughout the warehouse, including the IT environment.
- Act as an interface between administration and warehouse operations.
- Plan and monitor order processing and ensure timely execution.
- Serve as a key user for the WCS and WMS systems.
- Create reports, analyses, and key figures.
- Communicate timely with customers and partners across Europe.
- Develop and implement departure plans for seasonal and holiday periods.
- Use abstract thinking to solve challenges and propose necessary solutions.
Qualifications
- English and German (B2).
- Understanding of the operational flow of goods in a warehouse.
- Confident use of MS Office products.
- Team‑oriented mindset and collaborative approach.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong desire for continuous personal and professional growth.
- Willingness to work shifts.
- Openness, respect for others, and a sensitive character.
- A proactive attitude to contribute ideas for process improvement.
