H55 is composed of highly experienced engineers, entrepreneurs, and managers and is seeking like-minded talented professionals who understand how to couple creativity and innovation with technical and business considerations.Your RoleIn the frame of its product development (Electric Propulsion System and Modular Battery Pack), H55 is searching for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to develop complex mechanical systems and play a crucial part in mentoring and coaching our engineering team.Your responsibilities will include:Design lightweight, manufacturing-optimized, and cost-efficient products.Ensure designs adhere to regulatory Aerospace agency rules, focusing on industry safety and performance standards.Substantiate your designs with robust engineering practices and calculations.Define tests to guarantee the correlation and advancement of simulation models and technology de-risking & validation.Monitor and manage problem reports and change requests.Provide essential support to product production by analyzing deviation requests among others.Support and lead supplier relationships by addressing technical questions under general design guidelines, aiming for product manufacturing optimization.Review drawings, schematics, bills of material, and other documentation necessary to manufacture, test, install, and commission products.Support the Team lead on design checks, mentor and provide technical guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.Define and lead trainings to leverage the team’s continuous improvement.Your profileA university degree with 7-10 years of experience in designing and validating mechanical components and assemblies. Experience in mechanical design of electronic units is a significant advantage.Experience with design for series production is an advantage.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for technical coaching and team development.Proven project management skills with the ability to lead and deliver complex projects.Familiarity with Airworthiness Certification Specifications (E.g. EASA CS-23 or FAA Part 23) and industry standards (e.g. DO-160, DO-311) is an advantage (experience in another highly regulated domain is fine).Proficiency in CAD programs like Autodesk Inventor.Proven experience in FEA is appreciated, with mastery of the Ansys bundle as an asset.Knowledge of manufacturing processes with a focus on machining and plastic molding.Hands-on experience in prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.A motivated self-starter with a keen eye for organization and precision.A strong commitment to quality.Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.Fluent in both written and spoken English; French is an advantage.What we offerAn amazing work location in Sion, Valais in the heart of the Swiss Alps.A highly dynamic and multicultural environment where you can grow and learn by working on ambitious challenges to shape the future of Electric Aviation.We offer a position that contributes to valuable and impactful work in a stimulating international environment.Sounds interesting?
