We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Consultant in the Utilities Sector to join our client team.
Job Description: SAP Technical Consultant – IS-U
Location: Germany (Berlin/Munich) – Onsite 3-4 days per week
Language Requirement: German-speaking experts
Position Overview
The SAP Technical Consultant in the utilities sector for suppliers will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP solutions tailored specifically to the needs of utility companies. This role requires a deep understanding of the utility market, extensive experience with SAP modules, and the ability to work closely with clients to deliver effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the technical infrastructure of S/4HANA systems.
- Oversee system installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Act as a counterpart to SAP Rise basis consultants from SAP.
- Develop custom applications using S/4HANA’s Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) language.
- Modify existing SAP applications to meet client needs while adhering to the „keep the core clean“ principle.
- Implement security protocols to protect client data and prevent unauthorized access.
- Ensure the security of S/4HANA systems.
- Utilize S/4HANA’s integration tools to connect S/4HANA systems with other applications and technologies.
- Ensure seamless data flow and process integration across systems.
Experience and Skills:
- Several years of professional experience in consulting and/or SAP environments, with in-depth knowledge of your technical specialization.
- Preferably, experience in the German utility industry.
- Minimum of 5 years as an SAP consultant, focusing on the utilities sector.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration projects.
- Familiarity with cloud-based SAP solutions.
- Previous involvement in utility companies’ digital transformation projects.
- SAP certifications are a plus.
- Technical expertise in SAP modules such as BTP and SAP S/4HANA Core Utilities.
- Analytical problem-solving and the ability to address client-specific needs.
- Fluent in German and English.

- Willingness to travel for project-related purposes.
