About the Role
This remote position involves regular travel to Leiden (NL) and requires 36‑40 hours of work per week. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing the Microsoft Business Central system while providing support to end users.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize the Microsoft Business Central system, interfaces to connected systems, and validation documentation.
- Resolve all user requests and (complex) problems regarding Microsoft Business Central efficiently and effectively.
- Analyze requirements, maintain, test, and integrate application components.
- Use best practices and knowledge of business issues/processes to improve the system and ensure successful implementation of improvements.
- Share oversight of external consultancy work and participate in project management.
- Advise and train end users on the system.
- Implement new or changed procedures for the Microsoft Business Central system.
- Act as contact for companies engaged in special activities/services related to Microsoft Business Central for HAL Allergy.
- Contribute to keeping the Microsoft Business Central system in a validated state and up to standard.
- Handle (Microsoft Business Central) change requests.
- Participate in (international) improvement projects.
- Write effective system and process documentation, including business and system requirements, process diagrams, and data flow charts.
- Act as the first point of contact for all users regarding questions/user problems related to Microsoft Business Central.
- Answer/manage all reported issues and advise the internal client on handling future cases either by phone or on the work floor.
- Actively work with the helpdesk tool, follow up on requests, and report the solution on the ticket.
- Register problems and identify areas affecting service to the end‑user, escalating issues to the line manager and the responsible area.
- Create and maintain users and user rights in Microsoft Business Central.
- Provide user training.
- Provide international (Microsoft Business Central) support.
- Provide reporting information to management.
Qualifications
Relevant educational background in IT or a related field.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Business Central.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with end users.
- Experience in project management.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with international support.
- Familiarity with helpdesk tools.
- Knowledge of business processes and best practices.
