ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join world-class experts in finding answers to our customers' toughest questions as our Quality Specialist. The Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is heavily production‑floor based and focuses on inspections, documentation, nonconformance processing, and compliance with the Quality Management System.

The Quality Specialist works closely with operations teams to ensure products meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for a quality professional with strong attention to detail who excels in procedural execution and compliance.

Production Quality & Inspections

  • Perform in-process, final, and random inspections of assemblies, subassemblies, and finished products on the production floor, based on drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Conduct visual, functional, and basic dimensional inspections using approved tools and equipment.
  • Verify test results and inspection records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Enter inspection results, nonconformances, and quality data into ERP and Quality Management Systems.
  • Support batch traceability and sample inspection activities as required.

Nonconformance & Root Cause Analysis

  • Identify products and process nonconformances and initiate NCRs in the quality system.
  • Support root cause investigations by collecting data, evidence, and inspection records.
  • Track and verify completion of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) under guidance of Quality Engineers or Managers.
  • Communicate nonconformance status and containment actions to production teams.

Data Collection & Continuous Improvement

  • Collect and report quality data (scrap, rework, defects, yields).
  • Maintain accuracy of quality metrics and dashboards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data collection and execution of defined actions.

Quality System & Compliance

  • Support the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and, where applicable, ISO 13485 and ISO17025.
  • Assist with internal audits, document preparation, and objective evidence collection.
  • Ensure strict adherence to procedures, work instructions, and documentation requirements.
  • Promote quality awareness, and 5S/housekeeping on the production floor.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will understand the principles of Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance. They should bring experience and knowledge and possess the following:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role (Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, or Quality Associate/specialist).
  • Fluent spoken and written English and German are a requirement.
  • Basic understanding of quality tools, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic data analysis.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 regulated environment.
  • Exposure to root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Working knowledge of inspection methods and basic quality tools.
  • Prior hands‑on experience on a production floor in an electromechanical, optical, or industrial manufacturing environment.
