System Architect | Satellite Communications Manufacturer
Contract: Full time, Permanent
An established satellite communications terminal manufacturer on Lake Constance has just approved a new LEO satellite programme, and they need a System Architect to own its architecture. This is a chance to step in and define the long-term technical direction of a brand new product line rather than maintain someone else's design, turning system concepts into working proof-of-concept terminals.

Responsibilities
- Lead system-level design and prototyping of satellite communication systems
- Configure and integrate SoCs, FPGAs, and peripherals into complete proof-of-concept systems
- Develop, test, and optimise end-to-end PoCs using in-house and partner solutions
- Make hardware/software co-design decisions across embedded Linux, RTOS, and hardware bus architecture
Skills Required
- Product development experience on communication devices with a radio interface (satellite, 5G, or Wi-Fi modems)
- Solid telecoms/comms fundamentals, including networking protocols such as TCP/IP and Ethernet
- Hands-on experience in at least one of: embedded Linux, RTOS, or SoC/FPGA integration
Strong Differentiators
- 5G NTN or wider 5G/6G protocol experience at product level
- Depth across more than one of embedded Linux, RTOS, and SoC/FPGA integration, including board bring-up
