Project Procurement Lead – Capex | 18-Month Contract

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking an experienced Project Procurement Lead to manage procurement for large-scale Capex projects. This role covers end-to-end procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier management for plant construction, equipment, and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for major investment projects
• Oversee procurement, contract management, and supplier negotiations
• Manage procurement for process equipment, HVAC, lab equipment, construction, and engineering services
• Ensure project efficiency through the Procurement Master Plan (PMP)
• Collaborate with internal teams and EPCM/EPC suppliers

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in Capex project procurement, with a preference for the pharma or biotech sectors.
• Experience in plant construction, procurement, sales, and contract management.
• Fluent English required; German is a plus.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent business mindset, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and resilient, ability to work in an exciting, ever changing environment.
• Technical training (ETH/FH) or equivalent in process, chemical, mechanical, civil, or plant engineering is an advantage.
