Have you passed your first state bar examination and are looking for a trainee position for your second state bar examination? Come and join us in the Group Legal Services team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, on a temporary basis for at least 3 months commencing immediately as a Law Student.
In our central legal division Group Legal Services and its three divisions Corporate Matters, Claims & Reinsurance and Compliance, we handle everything to do with compliance and legal matters. As lawyers, we offer our colleagues worldwide centralised legal advice. Our aim is to protect and safeguard the legal position of the Hannover Re Group. We look after our reinsurance operations, provide compliance support and advise on various areas including corporate, capital markets, financial and IT law.
You can look forward to:
- Supporting our in-house counsel in a wide range of legal issues, including international matters, with a focus on corporate law, contract law, and data protection
- Participation in advisory meetings and team discussions with internal clients
- Conducting legal research
- Preparation of legal documents, opinions, or similar
- Assisting with global, cross-location projects
You come equipped with:
- Completed 1st state bar examination with above-average results (at least 8 points)
- Strong interest in international corporate and contract law as well as in data protection issues
- Proficiency in German and English at a negotiation level, with strong communication skills
- Intercultural competence, ideally gained through stays abroad
- Quick comprehension and the ability to present and explain legal matters clearly
