Let’s connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation team at our headquarters in Hanover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis (part-time possible, at least 30 hours per week), commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant Life Insurance Business .
You can look forward to

• Responsible for incoming and outgoing reinsurance statements of account
• Correspondence with internal interfaces and external customers
• Claims processing
• Checking, processing and posting statements of account including assuring completion
• Consultation with medical underwriters
• Sanction screening
• Independent processing of current accounts
• Payment initiation of reconciled balances in SAP-ABS or alternatively manually
• Processing of payments made with balancing of accounts including payment and exchange rate differences
• Processing of payments and technical postings that cannot be clearly assigned
• Initiating the creation of new bank details
• Annual (quarterly) closing work
• Checking estimates and determination of any additional reserves
• Documentation of anomalies
• Archiving and inventory maintenance

You come equipped with

• Degree in business administration and/or commercial training with appropriate professional experience
• (Initial) experience in the life insurance sector of an insurance and/or reinsurance company of advantage
• Knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting guidelines
• English and German language skills at a conversational level
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and SAP knowledge
• High affinity for IT topics and willingness to familiarise yourself with various IT technologies
• Very good understanding of numbers as well as analytical and conceptual skills
• An independent and flexible way of working
