Overview

In this role you will support international risk-adequate pricing for Property & Casualty reinsurance outside North America. You will collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and risk management teams to develop pricing approaches and provide rigorous mathematical foundations for decisions. You’ll work on risk assessment, model design, and data-driven analysis to enable sound underwriting and pricing decisions. This position combines technical pricing work with advisory and cross-functional influence, offering international exposure and opportunities to shape pricing methods.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Assess international reinsurance risks and calculate risk-adequate premiums
• Design mathematical pricing models and support their development
• Conduct market, portfolio, and risk analyses for international P&C reinsurance
• Develop and automate actuarial solutions using R and Excel
• Advise underwriters on complex mathematical topics both in Hannover and globally
• Deliver international training sessions and conduct audits on pricing methods and tools

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Master in Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, or related quantitative discipline
• Initial experience in (re)insurance, pricing, or actuarial work is an advantage
• Knowledge of programming languages (R, Python)
• Business-fluent English and conversational German
• Willingness for occasional international travel (approx. once or twice per year)
• Ability to work across functions and teams and to continuously learn
