Overview
In this role you will underwrite Caribbean property and casualty business within an international reinsurance framework, shaping Hannover Re's Caribbean strategy. You will work cross-functionally with brokers and clients in Spanish and English, and travel to markets to nurture relationships. The position combines analytical risk assessment with market insight to set informed, risk-adequate premiums. You will contribute to expanding the Caribbean market while operating in a diverse, global team. This opportunity offers exposure to international clients, travel, and the chance to influence regional reinsurance decisions.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage Caribbean property and casualty business in an international reinsurance setting
- Analyze reinsurance submissions and assess associated risks
- Calculate risk-adequate premiums and underwrite property and casualty risks
- Identify market trends and monitor primary insurance markets and key participants
- Communicate with brokers and clients to support business relationships in Spanish and English
- Maintain existing client relationships and develop new contacts through business travel and industry events
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Mathematics or comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in the reinsurance industry
- Strong analytical skills and proficient in Excel
- Fluent in Spanish and English; willingness to learn basic German
- Willingness to travel to the Caribbean (2–4 times per year) for client visits and market events
- Confidence in handling complex issues, strong communication, and adaptability in an international environment
