Working Student (m/f/d) Global Sales DTA - Data Analytics

With a fleet of 287 modern container ships and a Vessel Capacity 2.2 million TEU, as well as a Container Capacity 3.2 million TEU including one of the world\’s largest and most modern reefer container fleets, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world\’s leading liner shipping companies. A total of 114 liner services worldwide ensure fast and reliable connections between more than 600 ports across the world. In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd has stakes in 20 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa. The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

• Performance Reporting: Supporting the team in creating and standardizing performance reporting, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data insights across various commercial business aspects
• Data-Driven Insights: Utilizing data analytics to develop dashboards and create visually appealing presentations that effectively communicate findings to internal stakeholders, facilitating informed discussions and decision-making
• Identifying Areas for Improvement: Analyzing data to identify key areas requiring interventions, providing actionable insights to guide and support sales teams in optimizing their performance
• Performance Gap Analysis: Leveraging data analytics to identify performance gaps, underlying issues, and potential solutions, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner to address related questions and problems
• Data Analysis and Presentation: Assisting in preparing, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting business intelligence and performance-related data using Microsoft Excel and creating engaging PowerPoint presentations
• Process Improvement: Collaborating with the team to identify opportunities for process improvements and suggesting data-driven solutions to optimize business operations
• Task Ownership: Taking ownership of assigned tasks, working collaboratively with the team to ensure timely completion and high-quality deliverables.

• You are currently pursuing a full-time degree in data science, computer science, engineering, logistics or a comparable course of study
• You enjoy analyzing processes and then automating them with the help of Microsoft Power Automate? Then you\’ve come to the right place!
• You also have basic analytical skills and enjoy working with numbers and data
• You also have experience with SQL and Python
• Experience with BI tools (e.g. QlikSense, Tableau) is an advantage
• You have very good communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
