About the Role

In this role you will help to shape and drive Harman’s Software-defined Vehicle Distribution as part of HARMAN’s broader software products portfolio. You will own HARMAN’s future offering of an onboard and offboard software stack that allows our customers to rapidly develop, operate and maintain Software-defined Vehicles. You will lead the associated business and help to meet respective business goals.

In this role, you will be responsible for the continued transformation of HARMAN automotive into a leading tech player in software. You will be owning the product management function for our SDV Distribution. This role is responsible for driving our SDV Distribution business and products in an End-to-End manner. You will also implement modern patterns of tech and engineering in our growing organization to gain more attractiveness for software developers on a global scale.

What You Will Do

• Conceptualize, build and take to market next generation Software-defined Vehicle Distribution
• Lead the product team to ensure deliverables (MRD, PRD, Business Case, Pitch deck) from innovation process are delivered on time
• Build robust go-to-market plan
• Synthesize global and regional market trends, market sizing, technology trends, and customer & consumer insights to determine product roadmap
• Work across organizational boundaries (Harman and Samsung) to drive a unified and best-in-class approach to Product Management, Go-To-Market, R&D / Engineering
• Collaborate with technical & business team members, who may only have a vague understanding of their need, to co-create a plan for executing product strategy
• Interface with the customer and customer-facing teams for clarification of new feature requests and impact on product roadmap
• Working with Customer Groups (CG) and Marketing team to build and execute GTM strategy for Harman’s toolchain
• Facilitate integration of Harman tools from SBUs and Horizontal engineering (STV, AES) to envision a market leading SDV Distribution

What You Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent; BE with MBA would be preferred
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a software engineering with minimum 5+ years in managing and delivering complex automotive software products
• Must bring top-notch management skills and a deep appreciation of development tools, techniques, systems, and solutions.
• Strong business acumen, relentless customer focus, communicating Value proposition, and solid presentation skills
• Acumen to create product roadmap and prioritize requirement based on business demand

What is Nice to Have

• Experience with Strategic Selling techniques. Understanding of global delivery/supply chain model and multi-site project execution
• Experience in responding to RFP/RFQs and collaborating internally to craft winning pitch and proposal defense along with Pre-Sales team

What Makes You Eligible

• Be willing to travel up to 25%, domestic and international travel
• This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the Garching office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
