For an international technology company from Stuttgart Area, we are looking for an experienced Director Supply Network Lead (Tier 3) to drive the long-term strategy and performance of a global supplier network.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing commodity and supplier strategies across a complex international supply base.
You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into sustainable sourcing strategies, supplier governance models, and long-term partnerships.
Your focus will be on ensuring a resilient, scalable, and high-performing supplier network while continuously improving supplier performance and supporting business growth.
As a people leader, you will manage and develop an international team, promote collaboration across functions, and lead strategic initiatives with significant business impact.
Your Responsibilities Define and implement global commodity and supplier strategies for assigned product categories.
Develop and maintain a resilient supplier network with a focus on quality, capacity, scalability, cost competitiveness, and risk mitigation.
Drive supplier selection, qualification, and long-term relationship management.
Establish supplier performance management processes, monitor KPIs, and initiate improvement programs where required.
Lead contract negotiations and define commercial frameworks in collaboration with legal and business stakeholders.
Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and other internal functions to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, transformation projects, and continuous improvement programs.
Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing international team while fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented culture.
Your Profile University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
At least 10 years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or supply chain management within an international environment.
Strong expertise in developing commodity strategies, supplier selection, supplier performance management, and contract negotiations.
Experience managing suppliers within complex, multi-tier global supply chains.
Background in manufacturing, electronics, industrial technology, semiconductor, or another high-tech industry is highly desirable.
Proven leadership experience, either as a people manager or by leading cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives in an international matrix organization.
Demonstrated success in improving supply chain performance through measurable KPIs related to quality, delivery, cost, resilience, capacity, and operational excellence.
