As a private consulting and platform organization working on behalf of the Confederation and the cantons with around 200 employees and more than 3,000 partners, S-GE supports Swiss companies every year in their international business and helps innovative foreign companies on their way to settling in Switzerland. S-GE has its own teams (Swiss Business Hubs, SBHs) in approximately 25 countries. The Swiss Business Hubs are integrated into the diplomatic missions of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). For our Zurich office, we are seeking a resource to start immediately or on a mutually agreed date:Consultant DACH (80-100%) for our Export Promotion team.Your DutiesBuild and manage a sales pipeline for consulting mandates in Germany and Austria;
acquire new projects, develop tailored solutions, prepare proposals, and lead negotiations for Swiss exportersManage the full client lifecycle from onboarding through project delivery, follow-up, and long-term relationship management, in close collaboration with the Swiss Business Hub in Stuttgart and external partners in ViennaDevelop and implement concrete market entry and expansion strategies for Swiss SME clients, including roadmaps, partner identification, and distribution developmentLead consulting mandates end-to-end, ensuring quality, timelines, budgets, and content standards are metAct as a long-term advisor to clients, supporting them throughout their entire internationalization journey and helping them expand their business beyond their home region, with a specific focus on the DACH marketProvide market-relevant knowledge, networks, and intelligence on Germany and Austria, and position both markets as attractive destinations for Swiss companiesInitiate, organise, and lead inbound and outbound business delegations;
represent S-GE confidently at own and external events in Switzerland and in the DACH regionProvide operational support to the Swiss Business Hub in StuttgartDevelop and maintain the expert and partner network including SECO, FDFA, AHK, industry associations, and cantonal chambersYour ProfilMaster's degree in Business, or equivalent university degree with a focus on International Business, Business Strategy, Export or Economics3- 5 years of professional experience in a B2B context in the industrial sector (MEM, Aerospace, Life Sciences, Cleantech, ICT) with hands-on knowledge of how a Swiss SME operatesA strong understanding of, and genuine passion for, the Swiss market and industrial landscapeUnderstanding of the German and Austrian market landscapes and industrial ecosystems, ideally supported by study or professional experience in either countryProven track record in market entry strategies, partner search and distribution developmentNetworker personality with strong social, intercultural, consulting and negotiation skillsStructured and results driven professional with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on approach, passion for client engagement & client acquisitions, and a strong drive for growthExisting network in the DACH region (AHK, industry associations, clusters) and/or experience working with public institutions or diplomatic missions, are considered an advantageGerman native level (C2) and business fluent English (C1), are essentialOur offerS-GE is offering a fascinating role at the interface of politics and international business in a modern working environment in the heart of Zurich.
