Configuration & Data Manager

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

As part of the Airbus team, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the implementation of Configuration Management (CM) activities in national / international projects with systems and subsystems (SW/HW) along the entire product life cycle;
• Creation of project-specific CM plans and ensuring the compliance with the applicable processes;
• Definition of CM interfaces (internal and external) – being the contact person for customers regarding CM aspects, requirements and change control;
• Maintaining the integrity of products and design statuses through baselining and planning as well as the implementation of release boards and change control boards (CCB);
• Creation and validation of product configurations through to-build / as-built baselines and Support of corresponding audits (FCA/PCA);
• Measuring and reporting suitable KPIs for both line management and projects;
• Supporting cost and resource planning, describing work packages and ensure the progress of Time-onCost-onQuality.

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, aerospace or industrial engineering;
• At least 2 years of experience in configuration management;
• SAP and Windchill knowledge an advantage;
• Strong organization skills and a structured, independent and proactive way of working;
• Fluency in English and German is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
