Associate Director, Biostatistics | Real‑World Evidence Location: Basel area, SwitzerlandEmployment type: PermanentWorking model: Hybrid, minimum 50% on‑site The Opportunity Our client is a Swiss pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercialising treatments for rare diseases.They are looking for an experienced biostatistician to strengthen their internal expertise in Phase IV studies and real‑world evidence. You’ll combine strategic statistical input with hands‑on analysis and programming, working closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access and Data Management. Key Responsibilities Lead statistical activities for Phase IV studies, observational studies and patient registries. Contribute to study design, endpoint selection, sample size calculations and statistical analysis plans. Independently programme, analyse and validate study data and statistical outputs. Generate evidence supporting medical affairs, market access and reimbursement activities. Provide statistical expertise for manuscripts, abstracts and scientific presentations. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, helping modernise statistical methods and programming practices. Requirements At least 8 years of relevant biostatistics experience within pharma, biotech or a CRO. Strong experience in Phase IV studies and real‑world evidence. Experience working within a small or mid‑size pharmaceutical or biotechnology company. Strong hands‑on SAS programming skills; R experience is highly desirable. A relevant degree in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology or a related discipline. Ability to work independently and communicate statistical concepts clearly to different audiences.
