Job Description Summary

Location: Munich, Germany

The Cluster Procurement Category Manager, Fleet plans and leads all strategic and operational aspects within the category of Fleet, across divisions, on a cluster level (Germany and Austria). The role develops proposals for strategic business decisions, providing high-value procurement solutions aligned with category strategies. Responsibilities include supporting third-party vendor selection, vendor development, technology management, and performance measurement activities. The Cluster Procurement Category Manager, Fleet ensures best-in-class delivery of external services and products to support projects, achieving year-on-year productivity improvements, cost savings, and process enhancements in collaboration with business stakeholders. The role also manages outsourced service providers handling daily fleet operations, from eligibility to order, including contract lifecycle processes and enforcing vendor compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement category strategic goals based on the overall Procurement strategy and ecosystem management.
  2. Manage projects by planning, organizing, and tracking progress, defining scope and objectives, and utilizing planning tools.
  3. Participate in financial discussions with countries, including budgeting, tax aspects, and structuring deals with ecosystem partners.
  4. Support compliance & risk management by monitoring adherence to budgets, payments, vendor POs, and contracts, and implementing risk mitigation plans.
  5. Oversee Fleet sourcing and operations for multiple countries, ensuring compliance with policies and agreements.
  6. Manage stakeholder relations by addressing driver escalations and regional questions regarding fleet strategies and operations.
  7. Ensure successful project execution by delivering external solutions on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  8. Support sustainability objectives and implement the Global Fleet Strategy.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fleet management and vehicle fleet processes.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of category market trends and internal processes.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to translate ideas into actions.
  • Proficiency in English and German (spoken and written).
